All surgeries held at both Stony Stratford and Deanshanger are by appointment. However, any patient requiring a consultation for an acute illness or recent injury should inform the receptionist who will try to ensure that they are offered an opportunity to see or speak to a doctor the same day. We will always endeavour to deal with emergencies on the day they occur.
Routine GP appointments are booked at 10 minute intervals.
URGENT appointments may be shorter at busy times.
Therefore your Doctor or Nurse may only be able to deal safely with one problem during your consultation.
If you have a more complex problem or several problems, please discuss this with our Reception Team when booking an appointment as a longer consultation may be arranged in exceptional circumstances.
Did you know, you can access general practice appointments on weekday evenings and weekends, at several locations in Milton Keynes? Please see the link below.

If you feel that you do not need to see a Doctor or Nurse face to face you may ring the surgery during opening hours and leave a message with the Receptionist. You will usually be asked to leave a landline number and you may be asked to give a brief description about the subject of the advice you require. For some conditions the Receptionists are instructed to advise you to make an appointment to come in and see a Healthcare Professional. Your call for advice will usually be returned the same day unless the member of the practice is not available in which case you should be given a guide as to when your call will be returned.
Consultations are held in The Community Hall, Little London, Deanshanger. The surgery is intended mainly for residents of Deanshanger who have difficulty in travelling to Stony Stratford. It is not a fully equipped surgery and some examinations are not possible there. If you feel a problem may require an intimate examination then please arrange an appointment at the main Stony Stratford surgery. If you wish to attend the Deanshanger surgery please call us on (01908) 261155 to make an appointment. This will ensure that the Doctor has access to your records and help us to provide you with the best possible care.
If you cannot attend an appointment for any reason please inform us as soon as possible in order for us to give the slot to someone else.
Our Receptionists may ask you what your problem is,
they are not being nosey,
they just want to make sure they put you with the correct Health Professional.
