Dr Neil Douse

MB BS (London 1992) DRCOG, DFFP

Dr Neil Douse comes from Bletchley and was educated at Bedford Modern and at St Mary's Hospital in London after which he returned to Milton Keynes in 1992 to do his junior hospital jobs at Milton Keynes General Hospital before completing his GP training in Stony Stratford.

Dr Douse joined the Stonedean Practice in 1998 and has been a full-time partner in the practice since.

Married to Helen, he has two sons, Matthew and Jonny, and is a supporter of Luton Town Football Club and the Miami Dolphins. Neil is also a member of the Rotary Club of the Brickhills and spends his spare time playing Magic: The Gathering.

Dr Sarah Whiteman

MB BS (London 1986) FRCGP, DRCOG, DCH, Dipl MCRCSEd, DMJ, DipMedEd, FHEA

Sarah Whiteman qualified in 1986 from the Royal Free Hospital School of Medicine. She completed a short service commission with the Royal Air Force and has a particular interest in medical education. Although still a partner in the practice, Sarah's main role now is as a regional medical director in the NHS Trust Development Authority, which supports hospitals and other Trusts in attaining foundation status.

Dr Sue Baxter

MBChB (Bristol 1984) MRCGP DRCOG DCH DSRH PG cert

Dr Baxter joined the practice in September 2013. She works in the practice for four sessions a week.

She is our GP trainer, currently supervising 1 GP registrar, Dr Jo Heywood, within the practice.

MBBS (Ibadan 2007) MSc Occupational Health (Birmingham 2012) MRCGP, FRSPH, NEBOSH, GriOSH

Dr Craig obtained his primary medical qualification in 2007 from the University of Ibadan in Nigeria.  He completed a Master's degree in Occupational Health from the University of Birmingham and is a member of the Royal College of General Practitioners, UK.

He is passionate about healthy living, sustainable energy and deep space exploration.

Dr Jo Heywood

BMBS (Nottingham 2015), BMedSci


The practice undertakes the training and teaching of health care professionals. Our main GP trainer is Dr Baxter. We currently have one registrar – Dr Heywood. Occasionally, a trainer or registrar may sit in on a consultation, or video a consultation, for training purposes. Prior to either of these your consent will be sought, and please feel welcome to ask for a one to one consultation if you prefer.
